What is the Maternal Sheep Group?

The Maternal Sheep Group came together in 2012 with performance recording Blackface breeders joining with wool shedding Easycares to share areas common to maternal performance recording. In time, there is scope for the group to expand to share technical experience with other recording maternal sheep breeds. The Aim of the Maternal Sheep Group is to use performance recording to achieve genetic improvements in member’s maternal sheep flocks through working together with group members and others to improve farm profits.
